Kaspersky® Anti-Virus 5.5 for Check PointT FireWall-1®Kaspersky® Anti-Virus 5.5 for Check PointT FireWall-1®

Kaspersky® Anti-Virus for Check Point Firewall-1 provides high-quality antivirus protection for all HTTP, FTP and SMTP traffic that passes through Check Point Firewall-1.

The solution integrates with Check Point Firewall-1 using the CVP protocol, operating as a CVP server (based on OPSEC specifications). Moreover, it is compatible with the family of Microsoft Windows operating systems, and is fully optimized to meet the demands of large organizations that have heavy volumes of traffic.

Advantages of the solution include high performance, advanced scalability and support for the latest hardware platforms

New Features

Updated Antivirus Protection

  1. The most up-to-date version of the Kaspersky Anti-Virus Engine
  2. An extended collection of antivirus databases
Users are protected not only from malicious programs but also from potentially hostile programs, such as spyware, adware, dialers, crimeware and joke programs.
  3. A choice of antivirus protection levels
The administrator can adjust the protection level (standard, extended or super-secure) to suit the type of traffic transmitted via the firewall and regulate the amount of resources used during scanning.
  4. Backup storage
Before an infected object is processed (such as treatment, deletion or renaming), a backup copy is saved to a special folder. In the event that data is lost, it can be easily restored using the backup copy. User filters can be created, which make it easier to locate data

Simple and Convenient Administration

  1. A new and improved interface
The graphic interface has been redesigned and incorporated into the Microsoft Management Console.
  2. Easy setup and configuration
The product is fully operational immediately upon installation using the default settings, with a greater number of configuration options to make it easier for the administrator to fine-tune the product to the individual network.
  3. Notifications about critical events
The system administrator receives notification of any critical event (for example, when a virus is detected) via the tools in Check Point Firewall-1 (events logs, etc.) or via email.

Optomize Performance and Scalability

  1. Improved integration
Improved integration between Kaspersky Anti-Virus and Check Point Firewall-1. Support for AMON and ELA protocols make it possible to transfer or view data on the operation of the antivirus solution using Check Point Firewall-1.
  2. Scalability and flexibility
The application can be scaled to the number of processors on the computer upon which it is installed. It is also possible to launch multiple copies of the antivirus engine to accelerate performance (by increasing the number of objects that can be scanned simultaneously).
  3. Scanning in the operating memory
Objects can be scanned in the operating memory without using the disk subsystem, which significantly improves the performance of the solution.
  4. Limits on queue size
Administrators can regulate the application's use of resources by setting a limit on the number and size of queued objects.
  5. Optimized for Intel Xeon
The solution is optimized for use on computers with the most up-to-date hardware components, such as Intel Xeon processors.
